In-House U7 Training Guide

This U7 Grassroots Soccer Training Program is designed to support you in creating a fun, development-focused, and age-appropriate experience for young players at the very start of their soccer journey.

Each week’s plan includes:

  • A playful theme to spark imagination
  • Engaging warm-ups to get players moving
  • Core activities focused on essential soccer skills
  • Coaching points to guide instruction and encouragement
  • Conclude with small-sided games (2v2, 3v3) to apply those skills in context

This curriculum aligns with grassroots soccer principles that prioritize player enjoyment, movement, creativity, and confidence with the ball. At this age, success is measured in smiles, effort, and tiny personal breakthroughs—like stopping the ball with control or dribbling without tripping!

Your role as coach is to foster a love for the game by being positive, playful, and patient. Keep things moving, celebrate every small win, and create an environment where kids feel safe to try, fail, and try again.

Let’s build a strong foundation and have some fun along the way. Thank you for volunteering—this journey starts with you!
