In-House U6 Training Guide

This guide is designed to support new and experienced coaches in creating a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest players. At this age, the focus is on introducing children to the joy of soccer through imaginative play, movement, and simple ball skills.

Each week includes two structured practices with arrival activities, warm-ups, ball mastery, themed games, and small-sided play. Activities are built around exploration, creativity, and repetition to help players build confidence and comfort with the ball. Coaching points are included to guide your instruction and ensure you're reinforcing the right habits in a positive way.

Remember, at this level, your number one job is to make soccer fun and help players fall in love with the game. Don’t worry if things don’t go exactly to plan—just keep the energy high, the instructions simple, and the smiles coming.
