Team Drafting
Shaler Soccer Club will build teams in line with our mission and vision as outlined in our constitution.
As the board deems appropriate, teams may be built using a simple draft of players. Below, are the basic steps that will be followed when such a draft is necessary.
SSC Draft Procedures:
- Place coaches kids first.
- Place special requests for coaches next.
- Draft order should be based on the average rating of the teams based on steps 1 and 2 above with lowest average drafting first and so on.
- Draft through the older birth years first until they have all been drafted then the younger birth years.
- Requests for players playing with other players are to be honored and the draft order be adjusted so that everyone has an even number of players.
