Community Soccer is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of youth soccer players. The purpose of community soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport, develop life skills and develop a love for the game.
The Shaler Soccer Club is a family-oriented soccer club that provides an opportunity to play organized soccer at the developmental, recreational, and competitive levels for players at ages 4 – 19 years old. We offer programs that place the focus on the development of the whole player within a team environment. The Shaler Soccer Club is committed to providing an overall athletic development for each individual player while offering players, their families and coaches an enjoyable soccer experience. We are dedicated to helping players reach their full potential while fostering a love of the game.
The Shaler Soccer Club is divided into four segments in order to provide focused attention to our different player groups.
Lil Kickers (U4) offers an introduction to the sport by focusing on foot skills with a coach and the parent's on field support.
In-House Programs (U5-U8) offers a development program that encourages player familiarity with ball handling, sportsmanship, teamwork, and basic gamesmanship. Practices and games are all played within Shaler and against other age specific club teams. This program is overseen by the VP of In-House.
Travel Programs (U10-U20) offers programs to enhance player development and assemble competitive teams to play teams from neighboring clubs. This program is overseen by the VP of Inter-Community.
TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. This program is overseen by the SSC director of TOPSoccer.
