SHALER SOCCER CLUB

Return to Play

Shaler Soccer Club will require strict adherence to the following guidelines to ensure our players, families and volunteers remain in a safe and healthy environment.

Physical Injuries

If a player, family member, and or volunteer is injured to the point of requiring advanced medical attention (i.e. doctor, urgent care, or emergency visits) on the field during a SSC event, they are to notify their coach, commissioner, or Vice President with in 24 hours so that the club can provide notice to PA West and proceed with filing a claim.

If the injured person is a player, they are not to return to play until they are cleared by their physician and documentation of such has been provided to the club president.

COVID or other Illnesses

SSC will always comply with all federal, state, local, and PA West regulations prior to permitting any club play.  Including but not limited to:

•Create and distribute protocols to members.
•Confirm player registration and activation with your PA West Soccer registration contact.
•Confirm with the state association what insurance coverage is in place.
•Provide adequate field space for social distancing.

•Prepare training and game day plans in accordance with these guidelines, as well as those from state and local authorities.

Protocols:

- Each SSC player should be RSVP'd on the Game Changer App for each event scheduled to help with contact tracing should it be necessary.
- Each SSC player should use the Game Changer Health Tracker to update their fitness for play for each event scheduled.  If a player does not pass the Health Tracker's questions, they should reach out to their coach or commissioner for guidance.
- Each SSC player, family, and coach should remain socially distant while at SSC events and should follow all current Shaler Township, Allegheny County, State of Pennsylvania, and PA West Soccer Association directives.  NOTE: Failure to do so may violate the code of conduct and result in removal from the field.

In the event a player is unwell and/or is exhibiting symptoms related to COVID or any other communicable illness such as the Flu, the player is to remain away from SSC events until symptoms have resolved and in the event a diagnostic test has been taken, the test results are negative.
