What is SSC Alumni

Shaler Soccer Club has been a community soccer club since 1971. In this time, we have had fantastic players, incredible families, wonderful coaches, and we want to brag about it!

If you have a former SSC player that has gone on to do remarkable things, such as playing for the classic club, school team, college team, or if you've become a coach yourself or even joined a soccer board somewhere, we want to hear from you!

Please provide us with a photo or photos, and a brief write up about your accomplishments!

Please email your content to Shaler Soccer Club.

Zachary Marker

Zachery Marker did not start playing soccer until seventh grade, when he was 12 and played for the Middles school team and the SCC.  He continued to play for the club co-ed team for the rest of high school, but did not play for the school since the soccer season was the same as marching band season.  He also obtained his Referee certification and refereed through his junior year in college.  Zach currently is in his senior year at Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA where he is studying to be a physician assistant.  He has been the drum line section leader for 3 years.  He will graduate in May 2020 at the age of 21 with a BS in Health Care Studies and then continue at Saint Francis in the fall of 2020 for his graduate year of clinical and graduate school.  He will graduate in the spring of 2021 with a MS as a physician assistant.

Molly Malachow

Molly Malachow began playing for Shaler Soccer Club in 2006 at age 5. She played mainly for Jeff Kozej and Larry Balkey until about 9th grade. Molly joined Beadling Soccer Club in 5th  grade and is finishing out her last year before continuing to play at Penn State Behrend.

Jordan Dourlain

Jordan was a member of SSC since moving to Shaler when she was 7 and played through her last year of eligibility when she graduated Shaler High School in Spring of 2019. Jordan was a participant in the British and Challenger summer camps almost every year and progressed from the developmental program all there way to the competitive travel team.  Jordan and her team went on to win the Edinboro Tournament.  Jordan sought out additional training through Beadling and Hotspurs classic teams while continuing to play for the SSC and all of her hard work paid off when Jordan went on to become a four year varsity letterman in soccer.  Jordan was a volunteer at several summer TOPS camps.

Jordan is attending University of Pennsylvania and is studying biology and chemistry.  Although Jordan chose to not play soccer in college, she refers to the lessons learned on the soccer field often. She has learned her successes and failures both on teams and individually. Jordan learned to train hard, push herself and help others whenever possible.  Jordan is thankful for the opportunity the club gave her to make new friends when she first moved here and helped her to grow as a person along the way.

The Shaler Soccer Club is very proud of you Jordan, keep up the great work!
