Code of Conduct Violation Hearings

SSC board will, at its discretion, summon players, parents, coaches, and/or volunteers to a board hearing for violations to the published Code of Conduct applicable to the appropriate role.

·      A violation is documented

·      The person noted to be in violation is notified and provided awareness of an upcoming hearing by the applicable board resource and will provide any directives for the time period between the time of the notice and the time of the post hearing decision.

·      The board will coordinate the date, time, and location of the hearing.

·      The person summoned to the hearing is encouraged to invite anyone that can provide appropriate context for the violation that can support their case.  In the interest of collecting a comprehensive accounting, the board will invite any additional individuals to provide better clarity as needed.

·      Once the person summoned feels that they and their invited guests have provided their full account, all non-board parties are dismissed.

·      Following the hearing, the board will immediately meet to discuss the merits of the hearing and make a determination of any punitive measures appropriate.

·      The SSC Board member who originally provided summons will provide in writing the board decision.

NOTE: Given the entire board is involved in the hearing, there is not an In-Club appeal process.  If the person summoned wishes to appeal, they may contact the North District Director for further actions.
