Tryout Information
D4/D5 Travel truouts are held to attain a group of players to play at the highest level the club has available.  These players will be chosen based on the information below and will form a team that will remain intact for both the upcoming Spring and Fall seasons.  To qualify to be part of the team your player must be registered for the tryout and the Fall soccer season at the time of the tryout.  If the player is not registered for the Fall season at the time of team creation that player will not be viewed as an option for the team.

Tryouts are held one time a year near the end of the Spring Soccer Season, Usually in May. Tryouts are completed at a specific day, seperate for both Boys & Girls.  

They are handled by qualified individuals whom evaluate the players based on a preset format with multiple reviews for each player.

The evaluators brought in are based on Shaler School and Other Training programs who work with the Shaler soccer club.  Evaluators may be chosen from within the coaching staff of the club with the intent that those evaluators would focus on groups they would not directly coach in the upcoming season.

Travel team may or may not be created based on several factors.  These factors include the number of players to tryout & the overall rating of these players.  Should the basis of whether or not to create a team be of uncertain factors, coaches may be contacted to gain a perspective on the group of players evaluated.

Should the club deem a team feasible the players placed on that team will be based on the evaluations with percentage of those players being guaranteed based on performance.  Additional player/players can/will be added based on a goalie tryout if available, and a few additional players of the chosen coaches choice to fill out gaps in the teams lineup.   The coach of the team shall be chosen from available candidates who have the appropriate licensing and clearances, In addition the overall experience and knowledge of the available coaches who meet this requirement will be factored into the final decision.

In the event a team is not created, all players will be added to the D6 player pool and will still have a team to play for in the upcoming seasons.
