Shaler Soccer Club – Goalkeeper Clinic - 3/27/11
Attention all Commissioners and Coaches u8 and up:
Due to popular feedback and demand the Club will be hosting our 2nd annual “free” Goalkeeper Clinic on Sunday March 27th for all kids ages U8 and up that are interested in learning and developing goalkeeper skills.
This year we are partnering with Ryan Montgomery, Shaler Varsity Men’s Coach and several other Coaches and College Level Goalies to provide high level training and instruction.
Date: 3/27/11
Time: 11:45 – 3:00 pm (11:45 – 12:00 Player Registration / group assignment)
Location: Denny Field
Clinic Format: Hand - Eye Coordination, Punting, Throwing, Angles, Diving
What to Bring: Water bottle, Shin Guards, Goalie gloves (if you have them)
How to Register your Players:
Coaches: Email Director of Player Development, Larry Balkey: larry@shalersoccerclub.com with the following information no later than March 25th:
1. Age Group – Name of Player
2. Name of coach attending the clinic (optional but strongly recommended to learn proper technique to coach throughout the season)
You may forward this email to your player’s / parents to generate interest & availability, however I would prefer the coaches register their players to control the numbers.
*As a guideline – we are looking for a minimum of 2 players per team; however, we will do our best to accommodate everyone that is interested.
In the event of a cancellation due to poor weather / field conditions – the coaches will be contacted via email and will be responsible for notifying your parents. We will also post on the web site: www.shalersoccerclub.com

Bottom Line: Your Goalkeepers will receive more instruction in one afternoon than they will in a typical season – please be sure to get them enrolled!
